Generator Trucked to Camp Lemonier

Breakbulk Online - News Story

Move One transported a 12-ton generator by truck from the port of Djibouti to the U.S. Navy base of Camp Lemonier.

“All approvals for oversized transport were obtained and the permit was provided for entry in Camp Lemonier,” Miroslav Gerogievski, Move One’s cargo operations coordinator for Africa, said in a statement. “The generator was customs exempted and delivered without any problems within three days from arrival at the port.”

Home to the Combined Joint Task Force – Horn of Africa of the U.S. Africa Command, Camp Lemonier is the only U.S. military base in Africa. It was initially established as primary support for Operation Enduring Freedom - Horn of Africa, and now serves as a hub for United States and Coalition forces operating in the region.

The generator shipment was part of the Dubai-based logistic company’s ongoing operations in Djibouti.
