New liner route complements longstanding Caspian service.
BBC Chartering announces a new liner service connecting Europe and Asia. The line offers bi-weekly sailings to Asia and departs every three weeks to Europe.
BBC Euro-Asia Express Linecalls loading ports Rauma in Finland, Kristiansand in Norway, Hamburg, Antwerp, Bilbao and Porto Maghera. Vessels discharge in the Southeast Asian ports of Kelang, Singapore, Batam, Ho Chi Minh, Haiphongand Hong Kong as well at the Far East ports of Shanghai, Masan, Busan, Kobe and Yokohama.
On its westbound service the line loads in Masan, Yokohama, Shanghai, and Singapore and discharges in Mariupol, Genoa, Bilbao, Antwerp and Hamburg. BBC Chartering will call additional ports on inducement.
BBC will use its 7,200-deadweight-ton K-type vessels, which are ro-ro heavy-lift ships capable of lifting up to 300 tonnes. The BBC Karan will sail eastbound and the BBC Bangkok has been assigned the westbound route. Further, BBC can use larger vessels from its fleet to offer lifts up to 800 tonnes, the company said.
"The new line offers a high frequency on a long haul service and gives charterers transshipment options in the Black Sea (Mariupol) and in Antwerp interfacing with our established Caspian service," Sandra Markus, line manager at BBC Chartering’s headquarters in Leer said. The new service will be particularly suited to energy equipment, she said.
